Before work starts
Plan the task, the interfaces and the decision route.
Construction work should be planned, managed and monitored by people with the right information, competence and authority. The actual project arrangements and appointments decide who prepares, reviews, briefs and verifies each control.
Controlled information
Current drawings, specifications, bar schedules, wall details and revisions should be identifiable at the workfront.
Task-specific controls
RAMS, permits, plant interfaces, access, welfare, emergency arrangements and site rules need to match the real task.
Competence and supervision
Cards and certificates should be checked against the role. They do not replace task knowledge, supervision or a clear briefing.
Inspection and change
Hold points, acceptance criteria and technical query routes should be agreed before work is covered or the sequence changes.
